This training is designed for caregivers and providers of traumatized youth in the child welfare and juvenile probation systems. The content will include information about guidelines for providing a safe caregiving environment, the role of prudent parenting in creating safe caregiving environments and strategies for building safe, predictable, and appropriate responses to the behaviors of youth who have experienced trauma.
The Seneca foster care pre-approval training series is primarily designed for prospective ISFC (Intensive Services Foster Care) resource parents with the purpose of developing or strengthening the knowledge, understanding and skills essential when caring for traumatized foster youth with intensive needs.
