Its is very common for foster and adoptive parents to start with the best of intentions, to later wonder, when severe behaviors start to arise, if it was the thing to do or if there is something wrong with their parenting. This Workshop will focus primarily on a positive parent-child relationship and how to shift from fear based parenting to love-based parenting. Objectives:
  1. Participants will review and be able to identify risk factors on how children react to trauma/Understand trauma and brain development.
  2. Participants will better understand how the brain develops in response to experiences with caregivers. Identify how caregivers can support brain development in traumatized youth.
