Child Welfare is a complex system to navigate and sometimes even harder to exit and not return. This course will provide the parent partners/parent supports with an overview of the Child Welfare system and how a family’s case moves through it. Further, it will explore advocacy and the support needed for families to succeed once they are ready to exit the system, reducing the likelihood of re-entry into Child Welfare. At the conclusion, participants will be able to identify ways to support parents and recognize when a family is ready to be successful in exiting Child Welfare.
