This training will give an overview of the impact of interpersonal and historical trauma on the child, the family unit and the community. Will introduce CPP (Child-Parent Psychotherapy) principles and give examples of its usefulness in working with caregivers and their young children.  This training will give an overview of the impact of interpersonal and historical trauma on the child, the family unit and the community.   1. To increase awareness of the impact of trauma in early childhood and in the caregiver-child relationship.
  2. Be able to identify 2 specific ways in which trauma impacts the caregiver-child relationship.
  3. To learn applicable principles of CPP. Be able to identify 2 principles of CPP and an example of a way to integrate it in their current family work.
