Foster Care Training

One of the most significant challenges for clinicians today is to effectively engage patients and clients, especially those with borderline personality disorder, maladaptive behaviors, and substance use disorder. We will learn how to expand upon the uses of Motivational Interviewing (MI) by exploring MI “microskills” such as enhanced listening and “reading” techniques and dive deeper into the power of affirmations. The training will also include an overview of trauma informed coaching to support dually diagnosed people towards achieving healthier lifestyles. This training is geared toward individuals who have previously had an introduction to Motivational Interviewing.
