This monthly didactic will focus on the presentation of the core principles of the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics and integrate the principles into understanding and working with children in care and their families who have a history of intergenerational trauma. The Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics is a “trauma-informed,” developmentally-sensitive, neurobiogically respectful approach to the clinical problem solving process. The principles create an in depth framework that leads to an understanding of the impact of trauma on develop, behavior and daily functioning.
With the mastery of the core principles, the principles will be integrated into an understanding of a child’s behavior and will be utilized to complete the NMT Metric.
