Learn to implement SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) and reinforce and expand Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills. The morning will focus on MI skill building to really begin use MI as a natural and integral part of practice. The afternoon will focus on SBIRT, a model for conducting an assessment and delivering an early intervention, based on MI, to treat people with/ or at risk of developing a substance use disorder.
