Seeing the child behind the challenging behavior is hard!  When we are triggered, we cannot see past our own feelings.  All behavior communicates a need and if we can take a breath and see the child behind the behavior then and only then can we see this as an opportunity to teach.  This training will help you see the meaning of a child’s behavior. Is it to gain someone or something, avoid someone or something or to express a sensation or emotion?  Let’s look through the lens of individual children and make a hypothesis and think about developing a support plan so they don’t have to use challenging behavior to communicate what they need!
