Foster Care Training

The Presenter will review and define Child Abuse and Neglect, Risk Factors, Incidence, Community Costs, Lasting Effects and Prevention. The presenter will review the various types of Abuse and its lasting effects on children, families and communities. This training will be delivered through PowerPoint presentation, video, handouts and group discussion. Objectives: • Participants will review and defines various types of abuse. • Presenter will review Risk Factors. • Participants will learn to understand the various types of abuse and how they may effect children long term. • Presenter will promote discussion amongst participant to identify ways to support victims of abuse and assisting the healing process.
