This training will provide participants with an overview of HIV from a contemporary perspective including the untreated disease process, prevention options, and effective treatment for individual, family, and community wellbeing. Participants will engage in discussions about micro, mezzo, and macro protective and risk factors that influence engagement in HIV care and treatment. Didactic portions will be dedicated to understanding state and federal public benefits structures to support the well-being of People Living with HIV.
