Foster Care Training

Through the use of video, poetry, anecdotes, and writing experiences, this training will convey the healing power of poetry, particularly in response to trauma. It will explain the history and detailed methodology of the successful poetry program Pongo Teen Writing Project. Through hands-on experiences, the training will teach specific techniques for facilitating poetry, while providing additional take-away resources. Finally, the training will introduce ways of implementing a poetry program.
