This training aims to deepen the understanding of the importance of incorporating culturally inclusive techniques into the therapeutic process in order to help participants better provide culturally inclusive, diversity informed services to at-risk children, youth, foster youth and their families. Its focus is particularly on how to engage in the kind of rich breadth of culturally open, courageously curious dialogues necessary to go deeper in the therapeutic process. All stages of therapeutic work will be covered from conceptualization to termination. This will be an interactive training. Participants should expect to leave with a rich working model for integrating diversity-informed practice into the flow of the everyday work of supporting the best outcomes for the children and youth that they serve.
