This workshop focuses on improving participants’ ability to distinguish between syndromes that commonly are mistaken for one another. Sensitivity to this issue is especially important when working with children in out of home care whose caregivers and other collaterals may not be able to provide information about the long-term course of symptom development. Extensive use is made of case vignettes and exercises. Participants will be encouraged to verbally present examples from their own practice experience for discussion.
