This training will offer practical, easy and fun ways to reduce anxiety and increase calm, for ourselves and for our clients.  This training will combine experiential creative arts activities and awareness practices with lecture, case examples, and discussion.  Interventions will be applicable with a diverse, urban population and are based on research and clinical experience. Participants will learn: Somatic practices to ground and center ourselves and our clients. Neurobiology of regulation and dysregulation. How fear impacts attention. A variety of breathing practices and how to decide which one to use. Arts interventions to express and contain worry, anxiety and fear. Self-care strategies to cope with work-related worries.
