2 DAY TRAINING

In this two-day training, participants will learn about art as a nonverbal language, and the differences between traditional art therapy and art and consciousness for the development and enhancement of both personal and social consciousness and emotional reparation. The participant will gain of applications of art within cultural contexts; will experience and practice interdisciplinary approaches to using art with individual and group applications; will examine art as a language of the heart and a healing tool for that which injuries the human spirit, with applications for working with traumatised populations, and will have opportunities for the intersection of creative play, intellect and professional skills enhancement. Additionally, we will define and discuss creativity; symbols of personal and collective consciousness, secondary trauma and self-care for caregivers.
