Develop an understanding of the various regions in the brain and how they operate to control behavior. Use practical strategies to support the building of a staircase from the base of the brain to the executive functioning of the brain in a child. The child’s brain grows up until age 25. How can you maximize healthy brain development? Practicing strategies that help the brain develop social, emotional skills the ability to self-regulate is the key to success. In this training you will develop a working knowledge of the circuitry of the brain and how to promote integration and social-emotional skills for children. Learn strategies that pertain to clinical work and supporting youth 6-18 in implementation of these strategies to mitigate the negative effects of trauma.
