In honor of Black History month, this training reviews artful engagement strategies to encourage healthy youth development and cultural identity. There is opportunity to discuss the value of honoring, acknowledging, and engaging the intersectional identities of diverse youth populations and cultural roots, while exploring themes of colorism, intersectionality, and multiculturalism that impact their identity development. Providers will also explore resiliency factors and apply practices to highlight these factors when working with African American foster youth.
