Very like sarcasm and/or passive aggressive language called microaggressions are woven into the fabric of how many people communicate unconsciously, in and out of the workplace. Microaggression, generally comes from unconscious biases we have about each other. We all have them. Generally speaking we witness it in media where it’s okay to be bias of others and we take that in. Some of us grow up with microaggressive language from in our families, schools, and/or community. Much of it is unconscious, and yet it can wreak havoc on our personal and professional performance. or even the bottom line of our organizations. When working with youth, the impact can encourage mimicking microaggresive behavior staff practice. Because youth can be more tuned in to the feelings as well as the behaviors around them, this behavior can also cause stress. This engaging training is designed to help your staff see through their biases to their team members as individuals who are human, with sensitivities, flaws, and brilliance, as they support each other in achieving the goals of the organization.
