This course teaches the participants about the various trauma assessment tools used to determine trauma related diagnosis. The participants will be able to identify and integrate contributing factors such as racism, marginalization, oppression, and socio-economic stress into the assessment. Participants will be learn how to factor in other contributing experiences such as the dehumanization of loss, as noted by Dr, Kenneth Hardy and Dr, Tracy Laszloffy. The participants will learn and practice how to incorporate cultural responsiveness when conducting an interview and developing a diagnosis. Each participant is invited to work in teams during the training to analyze case vignettes and actively apply what is being taught during the course.
