Clinical applications of CBT specifically related to complex trauma will be explored from an interactive dynamic approach in this half-day workshop. Cultural considerations and CBT applications in treatment will also be introduced. The participants will be guided deeper into the experiences of individuals that contend with stress and trauma on a routine bases via clinical vignettes. A segment of the training invites participants to work in teams to analyze the case vignettes and actively apply what is being taught to enhance the group learning experience. Although participants should already have some working knowledge of CBT, the basics will be reviewed. The participants will be able to identify and integrate contributing factors such as racism, marginalization, oppression, and socio-economic stress into treatment.
