This is a highly “face to face” interactive learning laboratory. Participants will experience the process of engaging in cross-cultural interactions with each other while learning and appreciating the culturally diverse backgrounds in the room. Activities are designed for deliberate action in becoming sensitive to the values, beliefs, lifestyles and practices of our client’s cultures. Methods include Power point presentation; dyad and small group sharing, group “think tanks” Self-reflection exercise, courageous communication opportunities and fun activity. There will be special emphasis on Holiday traditions and customs across different cultures.

  3. Will be able to identify Benefits of Cultural Humility
  4. Will be able to engage in self-reflection and speak to the multiple aspects of culture
  5. Will be able to recognize what influences culture, both positively and negatively for themselves and for others who are different
  6. Will be able to honestly examine how we see others who are different, and how they experience us
  7. Will gain comfort and skill in having courageous and respectful conversations
