In this course, we examine crisis intervention in community based service programming. Being able to serve clients in their natural setting is a privilege for service providers, and often can lead to increased engagement and better outcomes. It is critical that service providers are equipped with the tools and strategies needed to navigate the potential crisis situations that could arise as these services are being delivered in the home, in the community and even over the phone. This course is designed to teach effective crisis assessment and intervention practices that can support the successful navigation of crisis incidents.
