Foster Care Training

The purpose of the training is to strengthen intake and assessment and engagement skills of team of providers in a trauma informed environment. The training will focus on building an organizational structure that involves understanding, recognizing and responding to the effects of trauma on our clients, co-workers, friends, family, and even ourselves. This training will be the first in a series of trauma focused training. Additionally, this training will enhance providers’ capacity to integrate multiculturalism, social justice and cultural humility with mental health services with the aim of improving the relationships of children in dependency with their parents, families, and caregivers.
