In this training students learn the concepts of cultural competence, cultural sensitivity and cultural awareness in terms of communication with families of youth in out of home care. Students learn the importance in keeping the lines of communication open with the biological families for youth in out of home care and what their role is in the continuum of care for youth and their families.
