Participants will learn to recognize vulnerabilities and risk factors for commercial or sexual exploitation in youth. Participants will learn to recognize signs of commercial or sexual exploitation for currently or previously victimized youth or young Participants will practice inclusive, non-stigmatizing, non-judgmental language and techniques for working with CSEC. Participants will learn how to integrate information about CSEC and their needs into service/treatment planning. Participants will increase their own awareness about their own discomfort, biases or preconceived notions about CSEC. Participants will improve understanding of trauma-informed care and the long-term impacts of trauma. Participants will discuss existing resources and acknowledge gaps in local resources. Participants will learn about the unique ways in which previous abuse impacts increased risk for future victimization.
