1.5 – hour workshop designed for staff and providers that work with families in our communities. Knowing how to identify what’s happening for ourselves in our bodies and emotions informs how we take care of ourselves-, which is the first step of caring for others. This workshop was designed as a mutual aid benefit collaboration, as a means to offer real life practices to increase our collective resilience and wellness during this unprecedented global pandemic. This workshop collaborative series is focused Resilience and Recovery Trauma can have a long-lasting and broad impact on our lives that may create a feeling of hopelessness. Yet, when we focus on our strengths and clear steps we can take toward wellness we are more likely to be resilient and recover. Resilience and Recovery is one of 6 core guiding principles form the Trauma Informed Systems 101 curriculum, from which this information is based upon.

Participants will learn how to engage clients in a health-minded parallel process using these strategies. By keeping everyone’s health at the forefront of services, you will support your clients in retaining previous skills they’ve gained from you during services.
