Foster Care Training

Guidelines for providing group clinical supervision will be reviewed including ground rules, group process, and ongoing group responsibilities for the supervisor. Cultural competency and humility in providing clinical supervision will be examined. Topics discussed include cultural identity, self disclosure and ethics, social class and professional development, the cycle of oppression, microaggressions, and developing culturally competent supervision. Self-awareness issues will also be reviewed including transference, counter-transference, and secondary trauma.
