When providers are bilingual there are various additional elements that need to be taken into consideration when working with bilingual youth. However, intersectionality matters and when providers are able to share a language with youth, but have a different cultural background or experience, there can be even more complications that need to be considered. The focus will be on how these intersections of language and culture impact the services provided to youth in the community.
