** This training will be provided in Spanish. ** In this training, participants will be exposed to a basic understanding of the LatinX population, including the difference between Hispanics, Latinos, and other commonly used references towards this population. The curriculum will have a concentration in the area of trauma, including historical and intergenerational trauma that LatinX families may experience in their country of origin, in their immigration journey, and while residing in the United States. We will also discuss cultural factors and considerations when providing treatment to LatinX families, including challenges in treatment, and terminology as well as translation of key terms.
