Welcome to the Amador County Foster Care Training Program, administered by the Contract Education Department of Chabot-Las Positas Community College District.
The Amador County Department of Social Services oversees the county’s child protective service functions, including the child abuse hotline and investigations, family maintenance and reunification, and permanent placement operations. Specialized training is provided for foster parents, resource families, Foster Family Agency (FFA) staff, county child welfare services staff, and other Title IV-E eligible agencies working with children and youth in foster care and is essential to improving outcomes for the children and families served. Chabot-Las Positas Community College District will administer Title IV-E training services to assist caregivers and providers serving Amador County foster youth to effectively support the needs of the children and families served by Amador County Social Services and the broader System of Care.
