Youth in foster care may struggle to stay connected to their strengths. Resiliency, an important strength, may be something that youth have already or a strength they work to develop with the support of caregivers, service providers, or other professionals. This interactive and experiential training will be geared towards service providers in order to develop their knowledge around how resiliency develops, what inspires or helps to develop resiliency, and what helps youth maintain connection to the sources of their resiliency in the midst of disconnection, removal, and added stresses or traumas. Facilitated discussion, didactic material, and experiential exercises will be used to discuss the themes and address class objectives.
