Practical considerations for preparation, planning and implementation when beginning to invite others to make art to support healing and recovery. Participants will experience, see and hear how art can be used to build resources in response to trauma, and to increase ability to regulate, and overall resiliency. This training will combine experiential art making with case examples, didactic lecture & discussion. Information is grounded in current research in neurobiology, trauma, and art therapy. Strategies will be relevant to all age groups & diverse client populations, with an emphasis on urban youth & trauma survivors.
