Children who are involved with the Child Welfare System have experienced complex trauma that leaves wounds that effect their daily functioning. Understanding the etiology of the wounds will inform interventions that will lead to healing the wounds of trauma. Traditional mental health services may have limited impact on children who exhibit significant behavioral dysregulation. This class will utilize case presentations to identify the underlying etiology of this behavioral dysfunction and develop appropriate interventions that address the etiologies.
