The workshop will cover the typical sensory motor organization of infants and young children and those with atypical presentation due to traumatic experiences and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder. Similarities and differences between the populations of children will be described. Concepts such as the allostatic load, dual coding of sensory and affective input and treatment based on sensory motor developmental profiles will be discussed.
