Foster Care Training

This training focused on the self-exploration of the various identities of the clinician. This focus will help to support continued development of the clinician in working across and within our own cultural groups. The training will focus on understanding concepts including bilingualism in therapy, emotional language, language as a defense, and cultural matches v. non-matches with clients. The training will utilize the trainer’s experience speaking a non-native language and working cross-culturally with client’s with a different ethnic/racial/cultural background from the trainer.
