2 Day Training

This institute will focus on the efforts to identify and understand the values, intentions, and purposes of those we engage to develop loving, healthy, and sustained support networks for children and families. We will begin by outlining the objective of integrating collaborative practice activities into the Family Finding approach, and then provide the opportunity for attendees to learn and apply the tools of Appreciative Inquiry, Mattering, Intentional Strengths and the Tree of Life in their work. There will be facilitation of attendees’ participation in these activities to promote comprehension and replication in their work. A combination of short periods of lecture, tool demonstration, experiential practice, and reflection will be utilized. The institute will conclude with small and larger room identification and discussions of site-based practices that utilize the principles common to these approaches. Handouts detailing the Tree of Life and Intentional Strengths will also be provided.
