Crisis work, particularly with children, can result in vicarious traumatization for social service providers. The impact on the nervous system of stress and trauma system can result in becoming stuck in a fight or flight state. This can negatively impact an individual’s ability to function in their professional and personal life. Experience and practice techniques for regulating the nervous system on a daily or situation basis.

*TRANSFER OF KNOWLEDGE:
  1. Participants will be able to practice self-regulation tools on themselves.
  2. Participants will be able to practice self-regulation tools with others (co-workers, friends, family) when vicarious traumatization is apparent.
