Previous Pro-ACT Restraint certification required for attendance. In this recertification training, students develop a collectively understood approach to the treatment of dangerous, assaultive, and injurious behavior, including the use of restraint when it is legal, ethical, and safe to do so. Students develop strategies for limiting injurious behavior and providing need based alternatives. Students practice responses that adhere to agency and Licensing protocols and respect clients’ dignity and personal rights.
