Foster Care Training

History tells us that every gain of social progress is met with a conservative backlash. We are once again at a time of scare tactics, shaming and oppressive policy change. Professionals who are otherwise passionate and dedicated find themselves deterred amidst the confusion. This workshop acknowledges the turbulent times and shines a light on a path forward by offering perspective on how those serving our most marginalized communities can move themselves and others toward transformative justice. Participants will be introduced to a new framework, illustrating the personal and institutional journey from rejection toward transformation. They will workshop options for utilizing this resource for personal reflection, brave conversations, and cultural change.
