Foster Care Training

This training provides an introduction to complex trauma, the impact of complex trauma on the development of the brain in adolescents, and how trauma creates vulnerabilities for youth at risk for exploitation is provided. Youth with experience of exploitation at times may have difficulty identifying that they have been exploited. Providers working with these youth face special challenges around supporting youth’s safety and healing process. Special focus will be placed on the relationship between youth in foster care at risk for exploitation and the impact of complex trauma.
