Foster Care Training

NOTE: This class is being offered online via Zoom in response to COVID-19 and the current stay at home order.

Youth in foster care may at times be exposed to multiple instances of interpersonal trauma, both in their homes of origin, as well as in their placements. An introduction to complex trauma, the impact of complex trauma on the development of the brain in adolescents and how trauma creates vulnerabilities for youth at risk for exploitation is provided in this training. Special focus will be placed on the relationship between youth in foster care at risk for exploitation and the impact of complex trauma.
