Focusing on The Abuse Spectrum from Neglect to Torture and everything in between, participants will learn about the variety of ways in which youth are abused. Mandatory reporting, clinical best practices and differentiating between one sort of harm and another will be studied as well as affects of abuse along developmental stages of life and how relates to system-involved youth. Through lecture, handouts, group discussion and case examples, participants will then study Dr Bennett’s Paradigm for Trauma Treatment: Five phases of working with system-involved children, teens and adults who have been harmed. Prognosis for cases will also be examined.
