Foster Care Training

This course will focus more in depth on what are the contributing factors surrounding suicidality within the African-American/Black community in child welfare. Importance will be placed on the possible identifying signs and symptoms around self-harm with this population. Most significantly, this learning opportunity will provide a space for individuals to learn different ways to identify means of support for family members and loved ones. Additionally, this training will assist practitioners to collaboratively uncover methods to develop their interventions while serving system-involved individuals from this community.
