Participants will learn who, why and when system-involved clients of all ages, races and genders choose to attempt and complete suicide. Through lecture, large group discussion and handouts, child welfare professionals will be able to learn warning signs, tools for assistance and best practices for suicide prevention. Caring for the self of the care-giver will also be discussed.
