Latinx families represent a large ethnic demographics within the child welfare system. This training provides an overview of how relationship dynamics in Latinx families may be influenced by culture. The training describes how Latin concepts such as machismo and marianismo influence gender socialization and dynamics within Latinx families. Participants learn how cultural and familial socialization influences youth involved in the child welfare system.
