Foster Care Training

Just as the age-old airline safety message emphasizes that parents put on their mask before assisting their child, this training provides mental health providers the support and skills needed to navigate collaborative relationships with foster and non-foster caregivers in order to fully support the well-being of at-risk and system-involved children/youth. Providers working in family systems and larger systems of care are often impacted by relational dynamics that can impede the cohesion and well-being of the child and family – this training provides mental health providers an understanding of those dynamics, how to work with them when they occur and build solid and trauma-informed relationships with caregivers.
