Foster Care Training

This training focuses the ways children are misunderstood in the foster care system, and the ways that trauma and cultural context are taken into account in a responsible way when providing care. This training also focuses on building skills in looking at a complex history and picture and accurately understanding the needs of the youth and their families. Material in this presentation asks participants to continue to expand their understanding and thinking about ways that trauma as well as cultural factors impact the ways children and adolescents are seen in the foster care system.
