This training will support participants in offering trainings to providers, parents, &/or other staekeholders involved with system involved youth in care. Participants will cultivate the skills needed to create measurable, specific objectives, and build a training based on those objectives. Participants will consider the learning styles of the audiences they will be presenting to, leave with a greater understanding of how to create and present training content, & evaluate their effectiveness in delivering information. Participants will review the outline they previously created of their desired training, practicing facilitation skills and leading activities to support their training content. Participants will consider the needs of the audiences , rehearse dealing with microaggressions, storytelling, and facilitating difficult conversations. Participants will leave with a greater sense of comfort in facilitating, a toolbox of possible activities to use, & identify ways to reinforce their learning objectives even when unexpected distractions occur so that they can facilitate trainings that will improve outcomes for system involved youth.
