What does it mean to develop a Racial Equity Framework for your organization within the context of social services? Why is it necessary? What are the steps and the journey that individuals and organizations need to embark on in order to develop this framework? What tools or resources are available to help your organization on that journey? These are some of the questions that will be addressed in this training.

Participants will have opportunities to share what their thinking is about what a racial equity framework could look like at their organization, and to learn concrete strategic approaches to how to even begin this journey. The training will address the issues of structural and systemic racism, which is the foundational structures that have upheld racially inequitable outcomes. The use of outside resources, as examples of what an implementation of a Racial Equity Framework could look like, will be introduced. This training is for anyone working in the social and child welfare system, not just administrators.
