This training outlines the various aspects of a Fathers role in the social and emotional development of their children. Using the experiences of the participants in the room, this training offers critical lenses on the successes & failures of emotional parenting for dads. Participants will review and discuss key aspects of socio emotional parenting. Participants will finish by examining and profiling the contextual and supportive elements of a vignette, practicing how to identify and modify parent triggers and responses to social emotional needs of children.

This training covers a variety of social emotional issues that are important for progressive, supportive parenting. How to engage in active listening is practiced. Communication/conflict styles in the home are examined for meeting the needs of children or not.
